Updated: Nov 6, 2018

The 2018-19 Notre Dame College Falcons took the floor for the first time in front of spectators Thursday Night at Murphy Gym as the blue team coached by John Wakelin knocked off the gold team coached by Pam Phillips.

Coach Tim Koenig was excited to get back to it:

" It was great to have everyone come out tonight. We appreciate the support. Everyone from you, to the season ticket holders, to the faculty and parents have been great.

" The team has had a grand total of six hours of practice time so far so things have gone pretty well early on. That being said we have a loooong way to go to get to where we want to be as a team." Koenig said."

We will have four captains this season. They will be Will (Vorhees-) Dan (Atcheson-) Jack (Kelsheimer-) and- Angelo (Cugini.)

Koenig is just happy for the season to be on the horizon:

" It was a loooong off-season. We are excited to get out there, compete and play some basketball." Koenig added."

The Falcons will open the exhibition season on 10/31 when they will travel to Dayton to take on

Wright State. The regular season will get underway on 11/9 and 11/10 when the Falcons will play in the Conference Challenge at Fairmont State. NDC will battle Slippery Rock on the first night before taking on Cal (PA) the next day. The NDC home opener will be on 11/13 when they will battle Roberts Wesleyan.
