Every Falcon Who Plays Scores,They hold Fourth Straight Opponent Under 65 in Romp of MAC.

The Notre Dame College Falcons (7-4) ran their win streak to four games as all 14 players who played found the score sheet in a 94-56 romp of Mount Aloyisus College (4-7) at Murphy Gym on Friday. "It was satisfying to get everybody in and see everybody score, "NDC Head Coach Mark Richmond stated. ""We got everybody back out there after a nine or 10 day layoff and got our feet back under us. I am proud of everyone who got in today. Guys practice hard and don't always play as many minutes as they would like for whatever reason but they still work hard and deserve the opportunity to help us win. Everybody that played for us did that tonight."

NDC got off to a quick start as Jaedon Willis and Gbolahan Adio hit 3-pointer's at the outset. After Ebone Junior got the Mounties on the board Willis hit another 3-pointer. Richmond talked about the offense:

"We did a good job of moving it and making the extra pass against the Mount Aloysius zone. "

After a Jamarr Talbert dunk it was 11-2 in favor of NDC. After an Andre Harris dunk at the 16:32 mark of the opening half the Falcons held a 10 point advantage (15-5.) It was an eight point game at 19-11 before DeAirius Barker and Javontae Jones would score to stretch the lead to 12 (23-11) halfway through the opening half. The next four points went to MAC to cut the lead to eight (23-15) after a Tyler Kidd 3-pointer with 8:41 in the opening half. NDC got a layup by Harris, a steal by Willis that led to a Daylin Lee bucket, and a 3-pointer by Talbert. After Harris split a pair of free throws a Willis jumper would cap the 10-0 Falcons run at the 5:49 mark of the opening stanza. After a Joel Lonigro 3-pointer NDC would go on another 6-0 run capped by a Jones jumper that stretched the lead to 21 (39-18) with 4:09 in the opening half. After a bucket by Junior at 3:26 it was a 19 point game (39-20.) Willis made a layup and Hagwood hit a 3-pointer to make it 41-23 at the 2:06 mark. NDC would finish the half on a 7-0 run capped by a Barker half court shot to end the stanza.

Willis had 10 points and five rebounds in the opening half, Harris added nine, while both Talbert and Barker tallied seven points each. NDC shot 57.1 percent from the field, 40 percent from the 3-point line, and 62.5 percent (5-8) at the free throw line in the opening stanza. They also had a 23-15 edge on the boards.

The Mounties were paced by Hagwood with 12 and Junior with seven in the opening stanza. They shot 33.3 percent from the field, 54.5 percent (6-11) from the 3-point line, and 66.7 percent (2-3) from the free throw line in the first 20 minutes.

Richmond talked about the defensive buy in from his team:

"Ever since the D & E game we have had a defensive mentality. We didn't shoot the ball well that day and defense allowed us to win the game. It has carried over in the last few weeks. When we guard like that at the defensive end it gives us a chance no matter what happens on the offensive end."

"We've been buying in on defense as a team so it's been really good for us, "Adio mentioned.

The second half started much like the first as Willis hit a 3-pointer and Lee knocked down a pair of free throws. The lead would grow to 31 (68-37) after a Tyland Crawford 3-pointer at the 14:40 mark. The lead would grow to 41 (86-45) after an Isaiah Sanders layup at the 6:57 mark. The biggest lead for the Falcons would be 43 (94-51) after a Kameron Taylor dunk with 1:40 on the clock. The Falcons would secure a fourth straight win and stay perfect at home on the season.

Willis paced NDC with 13 points in 19 minutes and gave these thoughts:

"It was a really good performance and it was nice to get a game in before we get back into conference play. We came out early, set the tempo and tone of the game which allowed everyone else to get in which was the goal."

Harris scored 12 points and hauled in five rebounds. Adio talked about him:

"Dre has been big in our win streak as he has been giving us big boosts on both ends of the court."

Kaleb Torrence scored 10 points in a season high 18 minutes as well. The Falcons got 49 points off the bench in this one.

As a team NDC shot 51.5 percent from the field, 34.5 percent (10-29) from the 3-point line, and 73.7 percent (14-19) at the free throw line. The Falcons won the rebounding battle 45-33. They had 24 assists and 10 turnovers as a team.

Richmond had this to say:

"I was really happy with the assist number. I believe we had 15 at halftime. We had nine or 10 in the second half. We played a majority of the game in the six or seven turnover range which is where we have to be. We have to get a shot every time down the floor because we have skilled offensive guys. When we don't throw the ball to the other team good things usually happen. We need to continue working at it, keep moving the ball, and keep playing the right way. "

The Mounties were led by Hagwood with 12 while Junior tallied 10 points and hauled in 11 rebounds. Johnson added nine. As a team the Mounties shot 36.2 percent from the field, 38.9 percent (7-18) from the 3-point line, and 53.8 percent (7-13) from the free throw line. They had 11 assists and 19 turnovers.

"It was a team effort, "Jamarr Talbert mentioned. "Everyone was ready to make an impact whether that be on the offensive or defensive end and that's what helped us get the win today. "
