Falcons Head To Walker Convocation Center For Road Tilt Wednesday.

The Notre Dame College Falcons (0-1) will head to Institute, West, Va, and the Walker Convocation Center for a road tilt with the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets on Wednesday night. Tip time is set for approximately 8:00 PM. You can catch all the action on NotreDameFalcons.com .

Here were the thoughts ofa NDC Coach Mark Richmond on the challenge ahead:

" West Virginia State is a talented bunch. They want to get up and down, shoot it quick and play at a very fast pace. We gotta play together collectively both offensively and defensively. Against West Virginia State you have to force them to do things they are not comfortable doing. Defense is what will win the game tomorrow night,"Richmond explained.

NDC (0-1) was a 98-77 loser in the lone game they have played thus far last Thursday. Jordan Burton had a career high 24 points in that contest- while Jordan Roland added 17 points and a team leading six rebounds. NDC shot 50 percent as a team, and 47 percent from the 3-point line (9-19-) as well as shooting at a 75 percent clip (12-16) from the free throw line. They had four assists- and- 18 turnovers in that game.

Richmond talked about the importance of the press break:

" We have put an emphasis on the press break for a few months now. We knew starting with West Lib, and having a few other teams in our league that play that style we needed to do that. "

Richmond also talked about what his team will need to do offensively:

"After we break the press we need to get some transition baskets. We need to take care of the ball as well."

West Virginia State (1-1) has split a pair of games. They were a 117-114 loser to Glenville State in the opener, before defeating Concord 89-74 last time out. Glen Abram leads the team at 28 points per contest, Richmond talked about him:

Abram is just as good as anyone in our league. When he comes off of a screen we can't give him that pull up."

Anthony Pittman is another guy to watch out for as he leads WVSU in rebounding:

"Pittman is averaging 14.5 points per contest, and was the Freshman of the Year in the conference last year. His numbers are a little down but he can really play."

Jeremiah Moore is putting up 20.5 points per night- and- Gus Stone is netting 18.5 points per contest.

Lastly Richmond talked about rebounding:

"I think we will be a good rebounding team. West Lib is one of the better offensive rebounding teams, so that really hurt us in the last game."
