Falcons Sixth in Initial Region Rankings

The first official Atlantic Region Rankings were released on Wednesday and the Notre Dame College Falcons come in sixth in the region. The top eight teams in the region qualify for the NCAA tournament at season's end.

IUP leads the way as the top seed- fellow MEC foe West Liberty is second- while Virginia State is third in the region. MercyHurst is in the fourth spot- West Chester is fifth- while NDC is sixth. Slippery Rock who the Falcons defeated the first game of the season is seventh- Shippensburg is eight- while Fairmont State is ninth. East Stroudsburg rounds out the top 10 in the 10th position.

Will Vorhees talked about how exciting it is to be in the mix but understands there is work to do:

" That's exciting to see- but we control our own destiny now. We have to stay focused- and- take care of business as the season closes. First step is going 1-0 tomorrow against a Concord team that has been playing well. It's a must win."
