The Notre Dame College Falcons make the short trip to Pennsylvania to take on the Celtics of Carlow on Wednesday evening. The game will tip at 7 PM from Carlow, Pa. As always you can catch all the action on NotreDameFalcons.com

NDC (4-1 2-0 MEC) comes in having won back to back games on the road. The Falcons were a 80-69 winner at Concord on Saturday- and- then Monday they knocked off Virginia Wise 97-86. The Falcons have five players averaging double figures on the season. Will Vorhees leads the way at 24.3 points per night- Larenz Thurman puts up 24 points a night- Halil Parks is scoring 13.8 per contest- Isaiah Sanders is netting 13.6 per game- and- Angelo Cugini is scoring 13 points per night. Cugini (11.5 rebounds per game) is still sidelined with an injury but Vorhees is also grabbing 11 rebounds per contest. The Falcons average 78.8 points per game as a team- while they give up 74.8 per night. NDC is averaging taking nearly three more free throws per game more than the opponent (16.6 to 13.8.) They are out rebounding the opponent 40.6 to 39.2.

Carlow (1-7) has lost three straight. The Celtics have allowed 90 or more points in six of the eight games they have played. They are coming off a 96-80 loss to Loch Haven on Monday. Tony Acrie led the Celtics with 20 points- Michael Truong had 16- Brenlee Reedy had 14- and- Eric Truong had 10. The Celtics shot 43 percent from the field and 37 percent from the 3-point line in the contest. They had 13 assists and 17 turnovers in this one.

NDC Coach Tim Koenig gave this thoughts on Wednesday's contest:

" Carlow is led by Tony Acrie. They play thru him inside and have shooters that spread the court around him. Defensively, they will mix their defenses between man and zone. We need to be able to execute against both. We have an emphasis of out rebounding Carlow. We hav taken a step back the past couple of games on the glass and need to out rebound teams.

Freshman Isaiah Sanders talked about the main goal and what this game means for the team as a whole, especially the bench.

" Winning is the main goal. If we do everything we have to everyone will play.. Those support guys deserve to play every game. They train and work hard just as hard as the guys who play big minutes. So they definitely deserve to play tomorrow. My goal for this game is to just keep playing my game, but work on making better decisions and rebounding more."

Bruce Hodges talked about the defensive assignments he's drawn of late and his thoughts on Wednesday's game:

" Bolte and Seals are two real good players and you won't see those type of guys every night. We want to get everyone into the game so they can grow more in game experience. No matter what, we want to go 1-0 on the day and we have to do our best to get the job done early."
