Haid Selected To All MEC Second Team

Notre Dame College redshirt sophomore guard Devin Haid has been named to Mountain East Conference's all conference second team. The redshirt sophomore from Wooster was rewarded for his outstanding regular season as voted by the coaches. Haid leads NDC in scoring and is eighth in the MEC scoring 15.7 points per game, is second on the team in rebounding which is 14th in the conference, (5.7) rebounds per contest, shoots at a 49.2 percent clip from the field which is fourth in the MEC and also is fourth in the MEC shooting 84.3 percent from the free throw line. In addition Haid is second on the team and 14th in the MEC dishing out 2.5 assists per game which is 14th in the MEC. Haid also averaged 0.9 blocked shots per game (11th in the MEC) and got 1.4 steals per night which is eighth in the MEC. Haid scored a season high 34 points in the Falcons 96-91 upset victory at West Virginia State on February 17th. Haid scored 425 total points while shooting 36.7 percent from the 3-point line on the year.

Haid and the rest of the Notre Dame College Falcons will travel to Wheeling, West Virginia to take on the Wheeling Cardinals in the opening round of the MEC Tournament tomorrow (Wednesday 3/6.) Tip time from WesBanco Arena is set for 8:30 PM.
