Looking To Carry The Momentum.

The Notre Dame College Falcons fresh off the team's first conference win of the season will look to carry that momentum into a home tilt with West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled to tip at 4 PM from Muprhy Gym.

NDC senior Drew Scarberry spoke about the mindset coming into Saturday's game:

" We have to carry this energy and momentum into tomorrow and come out ready to go from the jump. We know now that we have what it takes to win. We still just need to focus on playing 40 minutes as hard as we can."Scarberry stated.

NDC (2-7 1-4 MEC) is coming off a 87-77 overtime win at Davis and Elkins on Thursday night. Drew Scarberry paced five Falcons in double figures with 21 points- Levi Frankland netted 17- and- Jordan Burton posted 17 points to go along with four steals. DeAnthony Owens tallied 13-while Larenz Thurman scored 12 points- grabbed seven rebounds- and- dished out four assists. NDC shot 45 percent as a team- 29 percent (7-29) from the 3-point line- and- 71 percent (22-31) from the free throw line. Bruce Hodges led the Falcons with a team high eight rebounds- as they won the rebounding battle 42-39.

NDC comes into the contest averaging 78.3 points per game- while they allow 81 points per contest. The Falcons shoot 32 percent from the 3-point line- and- have been out rebounded by 1.8 boards per contest (35.8-37.6.) The Falcons are averaging 14.7 assists per game as opposed to 12.6 for the opposition. NDC is turning the ball over 12.1 times per contest- while the opposition has turned it over 14 times a night.

Levi Frankland leads NDC in scoring at 17.7 per night to go along with five rebounds per contest- DeAnthony Owens has scored 15 a night in the three games that he has played. Larenz Thurman is stuffing the stat sheet putting up 14.3 points per game- grabbing 4.2 rebounds- and- dishing out 4.1 assists per night. Scarberry rounds out the double digit scorers scoring 10.2 per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds a contest.

Wesleyan (3-7 3-2 MEC) is coming off a 73-65 win over Urbana last time out. Dusan Vicentic leads the way with 22 points- Daylin Lee netted 15- and- Clay Todd had 14. The Bobcats shot 55 percent as a team- 39 percent (5-13) from the 3-point line- and- 76 percent (16-21) from the free throw line. The Bobcats score 74.2 points per game as a team- while they allow 81.3 per contest. WVWC shoots 36 percent from the 3-point line- and- 68 percent from the free throw line. The Bobcats have averaged 34.5 rebounds a game which is the same as the opposition. Wesleyan has turned the ball over 16.4 turnovers per game- as opposed to 13.3 for the opposition. Vicentic leads the team individually at 14.1 points per game- while he grabs a team leading 8.1 rebounds per contest. Lee is putting up 13.6 per contest- and- Todd puts up 10.6 per game. Ross Young averages 10.5 per game- and- Luka Petrovic scores 10.1 per game to go along with 5.6 assists per contest.
