Looking To Finish.

The Notre Dame College Falcons head to the McDonnell Center on the campus of Davis& Elkins to take on the Senators for a 7:30 PM tip on Thursday. NDC seeks their first conference win of the season and looks to snap a four game losing slide.

Levi Frankland talked about how the team needs to play a complete game to get the win:

" We have to play a full 40 minutes. We got caught playing well for the first 30-35 minutes recently and the last five minutes have killed us. "Frankland stated.

NDC (1-7 0-4 MEC) is coming off a 79-76 loss at Concord on Saturday. Frankland led the Falcons in scoring with 20 points- while Larenz Thurman stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points- six rebounds- and- six assists. Both Drew Scarberry and Bruce Hodges scored 11 points each. NDC shot 46 percent as a team- 45 percent (13-29) from the 3-point line- and- 56 percent (5-9) at the free throw line. The Falcons had 14 assists as a team- and- turned the ball over just eight times. Offensively NDC is eighth in the MEC scoring 77.3 points per game- while at the defensive end they are allowing a league sixth best 81.5 points per night. They are ninth in the MEC shooting at a 66 percent clip from the free throw line. The Falcons are also ninth in 3-point percentage where they shoot 32 percent as a team. NDC is grabbing 35 rebounds as a team- while the opposition grabs 37.4 rebounds a contest.

Frankland leads the team in scoring at 17.8 points per game which is good for seventh in the MEC- he adds five rebounds per contest. DeAnthony Owens came back from injury last week and has netted 16 points per contest in the two games that he has played. Larenz Thurman averages 14.6 points per game- while he dishes out a MEC fifth best 4.1 assists per contest.

Davis and Elkins (4-5 2-2 MEC) has split the last two contests they have played. They were a 103-73 loser to West Liberty- and- defeated Wheeling 74-73. Myles Monroe scored 21 points in the loss to West Liberty- while Donte Doleman added 18. Erkam Kiris netted 15 points- and- blocked six shots against the Hilltoppers. D&E shot 54 percent as a team- 23 percent (3-13) from the 3-point line- and- 67 percent (22-33) from the free throw line. In the victory versus Wheeling Doleman scored 24 points- Kiris chipped in 17- while Monroe- and- Kyle Leslie each tallied 10. In that victory the Senators shot 44 percent from the field- and- 44 percent (7-16) from the 3-point line. They were 13 of 19 at the free throw line.

Individually the Senators are paced by Doleman who averages 17.3 per night- Monroe puts up 12.3 per game- while Kiris scores 13.6 per night. Kiris also leads the team in rebounding at seven boards per contest- and- is blocking one shot per game. The Senators are averaging 74.2 points per game as a team- while they are allowing 82.6 per night. D&E has struggled at the free throw line where they shoot 63 percent. They are last in rebounding margin as they are being out rebounded by nearly seven rebounds per contest. The Senators have had trouble this season turning the ball over 16.7 turnovers per night. They have also blocked 3.4 shots per game which is good for sixth in the MEC.

Hodges talked about the task at hand:

" We have to come out ready to play. This is a very winnable game but we have to earn it."Hodges mentioned.
