Coach Mark Richmond set up the matchup with Lourdes (who is a NAIA school:)

"Looking forward to seeing how we respond on a quick turnaround game against Lourdes, "Richmond mentioned.

He continued:

"They have a very talented team with some transfers and some veterans. They play a different style than anyone that we have played to this point."

NDC (5-1 3-1 MEC) is coming off a hard fought 63-61 win over Concord on Saturday in a game that they struggled at the offensive end. It was the first time since 2012 that NDC won a game where they score 63 points or fewer. Four NDC players scored in double figures in the game. Jaedon Willis led the way with 16 points, Tyland Crawford added 12, Daylin Lee scored 11 in his first start of the season, while DeAirius Barker came off the bench to tally 10. NDC shot 40 percent from the field and 36 percent from the 3-point line (8-22) in the contest. They shot at a 65 percent clip (13-20) from the free throw line. The game featured a pair of ties and eight lead changes.

Willis leads the NDC box score putting up 23.5 points per contest, as he also leads the team in assists at 3.8 per night. Tyland Crawford is netting 14.3 points per game, while Mike Sampson adds 10.3 points per game along with a team leading 8.8 rebounds per contest. Rebounding will be a big key to this game as Coach Mark Richmond mentioned:

" They (Lourdes) are going to throw it inside a lot and try to score through the post. When we scheduled this game we knew it would be a tough challenge."

Crawford gave his quick thought:

" As long as we gang rebound, play with a lot of effort and passion, and keep our turnovers low we will win the game."

The Gray Wolves (6-3) are coming off a 101-70 win over Wilberforce last time out. Nick Welch led the way with 20 points, Jackie Harris netted 16, McRay White tallied 15, Joey Holifield scored 14, and N'Keeley Elmore scored 12. The Gray Wolves come into the game averaging 93.1 points per game, while they allow 71.1` points per night. On the glass they are dominating the NAIA level as they are getting 10.3 more rebounds than the opposition (41.7-31.4) rebounds per game.

Holifield leads the season box score at 17.9 points per game, Harris joins him in double figures at 13.4 per night, while Welch leads the team in rebounding at 10.2 per night to go with his 13.1 points per contest. McRay White (12.8 ) points per game, and Little Anderson (12.3 points per contest) average double figures as well. Brett Rauf dishes out a team leading 5.1 assists per night.
