Mavericks-Sharks Advance To DII Title Game

The second seeded Nova Southeastern University Sharks knocked off the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes 91-77 as they won a 20th straight game. Nova was led by Shane Hunter with 24 points to go with seven rebounds and four blocked shots. He was joined in double figures by MJ Irladi who had 15 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Trey Doomes added 12 and Ryder Cisarik tallied 11. With the win NSU improves to 32-2 on the season. They will face top seeded Minnesota State University Mankato who knocked off #4 seed West Texas A&M 79-72 on Thursday. Malik Williingham stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Justin Eagins added 18, Dylan Peeters notched 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, while Brady Williams netted 14 as the Mavericks improved to 34-2. Saturday's championship game is slated for 3 PM at the Ford Center in Evansville,Indiana.
