Coach Tim Koenig gave his thoughts on the challenge at hand:
"We are obviously going to be without one of our captains in Angelo Cugini tomorrow. We have had a good couple of practices since the Roberts Wesleyan game.
On the matchup with Concord:
"Concord is a very good team in our league led by Tommy Bolte. We have our work cut it out with him. He led the country in scoring (31.0 ppg) last season. They have a couple of nice players in Jair Rodgers and Trey Brisco."
On the defensive strategy:
Like I said we have our work cut out with them." We are looking forward to the opportunity and starting conference play Saturday. You know what our goal always is. To go 1-0 on any given day. That will not change tomorrow."
Drew Scarberry gave his thoughts on tomorrow's matchup:
" Excited to start conference play. We need to come out and bounce back from our last game. I think we have a couple games under our belt now and we are ready to roll."
Will Vorhees gave his take:
" We gotta have a short memory and bounce back after a tough home opener. Come out with a chip on our shoulder and go 1-0 in conference play."
