Updated: Nov 29, 2022

"We are excited to be back home. We took a few days off and reconvened over the weekend and had a couple really good days of practice, "Richmond explained.

NDC is coming off a 107-83 loss at #5 West Liberty last Tuesday. Jaedon Willis led the Falcons with 26 points, Andre Harris stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while DeAirius Barker added 10. The Falcons come into this one sixth in the MEC scoring 84.2 points per game, while defensively they are allowing 85.2 points per contest which is at the bottom of the conference. The Falcons are fourth in field goal percentage shooting at a 46.2 percent clip, while they are the top 3-point shooting team in the MEC shooting 40.2 percent from the 3-point line. They are sixth in the MEC shooting 72.4 percent from the free throw line. NDC is fifth in the MEC on the glass out rebounding the opposition by two (38.6-36.6) boards per contest.

Jaedon Willis paces the Falcons and is pouring in an MEC leading 24.6 points per contest, he also is shooting 36.4 percent from the 3-point line, while the Baltimore native leads the team playing 32.4 minutes per game, and is also grabbing 4.2 rebounds per contest. Barker scores 10.8 points per game while also grabbing 4.2 rebounds per night. Tyland Crawford is putting up nine points per game. Andre Harris is leading the team in rebounds (4.8 per game) and assists (2.6 per game) in the young campaign.

Richmond talked about the plan against the Pioneers:

"It is a similar plan as when we played West Liberty. They play the same style. At the end of the day it comes down to taking care of the ball and rebounding. Glenville is really good at rebounding especially on the offensive glass. We are going to have to rebound it so we can get out and run. "

Adio agreed:

"They're gonna try and speed us up but we'll be good if we stay composed and take care of the ball."

Jamarr Talbert gave his thoughts:

"I think Coach Richmond has given us the keys to win and I'm confident that if we execute the game plan we'll be fine."

Glenville State is sixth in the MEC scoring 82.6 points per game, while defensively they give up 83 points per night which is good for 10th in the conference. They are near the bottom of the conference in both field goal percentage (41.1 percent) and 26.1 percent from the 3-point line. They also struggle at the free throw line (62.4 percent.) They are ninth in the MEC being out rebounded by 1.6 rebounds (39-40.6 rebounds per contest.)

Freddie Word is pacing GSU at 15 points per game, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per night. Jordan "Turbo" Smith is also averaging double figures at 12.8 points per night, while Jacquez Yow nets 12 per game, and Jamarvious Jones chips in 10.2 points per contest.

Richmond gave his final thoughts:

"Defense is always important and style and tempo of the game just as important. The best path for our team is balance and playing a lot of people. That is who we want to be. We will continue to bring guys along. We had a couple guys out the last few games and hope to get them back. Being at full strength will be nice. We play a lot of people and that they are at maximum capacity on Wednesday evening will be critical."
