NDC Slides To Ninth In SIDA Region Rankings After Wild Week.

The Notre Dame College Falcons after a wild week last week that saw them blow a 27-point lead in a 108-106 loss to West Virginia State on Wednesday- only to bounce back by returning the favor to a Charleston team that defeated them in December with a win of their own slid to ninth in the SIDA Region Rankings that are comprised of votes by select Sports Information Directors in Division 2.

The Falcons have another big week of conference play coming up this week when they host Shepherd on Thursday before a rematch with Fairmont State at Murphy Gym on Saturday. The Falcons (14-6 10-4 MEC) dropped one spot to ninth after the 1-1 week. West Liberty moved up to the top spot in the region after a 96-85 win over Fairmont State on Saturday. IUP dropped to second after a one point loss to MercyHurst on Saturday. Virginia State who has won 15 straight stayed put in the third slot- while Fairmont State dropped into a fourth place tie with West Chester after losing to West Liberty Saturday. Slippery Rock is in a tie for the sixth position with Shippensburg- while MercyHurst moved into the eighth spot after a upset of IUP on Saturday night at the buzzer. NDC slipped to ninth-and- Concord was 10th in the rankings. NDC will be back in action Thursday when they battle Shepherd.
