On The Road Again.

The Notre Dame College Falcons (3-5 3-5 MEC) hit the road on Monday to Elkins, West Virginia to battle the Davis&Elkins Senators inside the McDonnell Center on Monday night.The game is a makeup for a game that was postponed from January 30th.a Tip time is set for 5 PM. Coach Mark Richmond talked about the matchup:

"The guys are fired up to play again. We hope to build on some of the things that we did well on Saturday. D&E is a young, talented team learning on the fly just like us. All of their games have come down to the final five minutes. We expect that to be no different tonight. We will have to play extremely well on the road to come out on top,Richmond explained.

Mike Sampson agreed:

Trying to keep momentum going, so we can get on a roll. Our record does not speak to how good our team really is,"Sampson mentioned.

NDC is coming off a 71-56 win over Concord at home on Saturday. Four Falcons scored in double figures in the contest led by 21 points from Jordan Roland, Jordan Burton netted 14 points- grabbed six rebounds- and- dished out five assists, while Sampson contributed 14 points- 13 rebounds- and- six steals in the victory. NDC shot 44 percent from the field- 35 percent (7-20) from the 3-point line- and- 80 percent (12-15) at the free throw line. They had 16 assists, and a season low eight turnovers in the game.

As a team the Falcons come into the contest averaging 75.8 points per game- while they are allowing 78.9 points per night. The Falcons are out-rebounding the opponent by 2.2 rebounds per night (37.0-34.8.)

Jordan Roland continuanes to lead the team in scoring pouring in 17.5 points per contest. The junior from Flint,Michigan also leads the team in assists at 3.3 per night. Jordan Burton is also scoring in double figures notching 13.4 points per night. He is shooting at a 50 percent clip from the 3-point line on the year. Tyland Crawford is scoring 12.8 points per contest- and- John Godinez is scoring 9.6 points per game. Sampson is putting up 9.0 points a game, and leads the team in rebounding grabbing 8.5 rebounds per contest.

Davis& Elkins (2-5 2-5 MEC) is coming off a 84-71 loss to Wheeling on Saturday. Breland Walton poured in a game high 28 points to go along with 16 rebounds in the defeat. Sam Rolle added 19- Kyle Leslie had 11- and- Gyasi Powell chipped in 10 in the contest. The Senators shot 40 percent from the field, but just went 1-22 from the 3-point line. They shot at a 67 percent clip (16-24) from the free throw line.

Walton leads the season boxa score putting up 18.9 points- and- grabbing 11.6 rebounds per night. Rolle scores 17.7 points- and- dishes out 7.6 assists per contest- while Marcus Fleming nearly averages a double-double (16.2 points- and- 9.8 rebounds per contest.) Powell rounds out the double digit scorers contributing 12.6 points per game. As a team the Senators average 79.4 points per game- while they allow 84.6 per contest.
