Anyone who has spoken with former Notre Dame College star Will Vorhees for more than 30 seconds or has seen him play basketball one time knows what his dreams are. That dream is becoming closer to a reality for the greatest player in Notre Dame College basketball history.
Since the season ended in the first round of the NCAA tournament against Virginia State on the campus of IUP Vorhees has been a busy guy. Vorhees signed with You First Sports Agency roughly a month ago. The agency already has some household names currently in the NBA. Just to name a few the agency is the one used by Serge Ibaka- Kristaps Porzingis- Miles Turner- Jeff Teague- and- Fred Van Vleet. They have top players overseas as well. Vorhees was flown out to Las Vegas by his agent to participate in a pre-draft combine at Impact Academy. While out in Las Vegas Vorhees's agent had him take a two day break from the workouts at Impact Academy to participate in the Euro League showcase in Chicago. Will's team won the tournament , and he was named one of the "top 5 players" at the tournament by the Director of The Showcase.
On May 27th, Vorhees along with 17 other You First clients, participated in the NBA Pre-Draft combine. There were 28 of 30 NBA front offices represented (Portland and Boston were the only teams not there.) Will garnered interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Los Angles Clippers, Washington Wizards- and- New Orleans Pelicans after the workout.
Will was in Las Vegas from May 8th until June 12th. The plan was for the former NDC star to stay in Vegas until the draft on June 20th. Will got some great news yesterday and flew back to Cleveland. He will be having a pre-draft workout with the Cavs tomorrow (Friday.) The goal from the workout is to make the Cavs summer league roster. Vorhees will be interviewed by channel 19 at NDC at 3 PM today (Thursday.) It could just be the beginning for Vorhees. You would be hard pressed to find a soul that is not rooting for him.
